Man killed in Pretoria taxi, motorcycle crash

The motorcyclist was assessed by paramedics and declared dead on scene.


A 50-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a collision in Pretoria on Tuesday night, reports Pretoria Moot Rekord.

Netcare 911 emergency service spokesperson Shawn Herbst said the accident happened on Es’kia Mphahlele Drive and Moot Street.

Reports from the scene indicated that a minibus taxi and a Motorcycle were involved in a collision, he said.

“The motorcyclist was assessed by paramedics on scene and was found to have no signs of life. He was declared dead on scene.”

Herbst said the driver of the taxi was unharmed.

“Circumstances leading up to the collision is currently unknown and will form part of a police investigation.”
