Steve Hofmeyr and Co furious AfriForum labelled a ‘supremacist group’

The singer has revealed why he only relies on '15 social media platforms' now and feels better on his 'propaganda detox'.

AfriForum supporters are up in arms after the interest group was referred to as an “Afrikaner supremacist group” by the Mail & Guardian, and they have been lambasting the publication about it all morning.

AfriForum CEO Ernst Roets led the charge by threatening to take the publication to the Press Ombudsman.

And it wasn’t long before Afrikaans singer turned activist Steve Hofmeyr added his two cents to the discussion.

Hofmeyr proclaimed that he had not read the Mail & Guardian in years and went on to list all the other media platforms he no longer engages with.

The singer revealed that a mix of 15 social media platforms have become his primary news sources, as he is on what he calls a “propaganda detox”.

“I’m slowly divorcing from most other partial channels, publications and entertainment,” he added.
