The real story behind the armed tender briefing arrival
The businessman recently received death threats for the crime-fighting work he has been doing in the area.

The video footage of a man arriving at a Kwa-Zulu Natal tender briefing with armed security in tow last week made waves across social media prompting many to accuse the man in the video of trying to intimidate municipal officials and his competitors but it turned out the man in the video merely wanted to show what his company was capable of.
The man in the video has been identified by eNCA as Sipho Ngcobo and he runs a company called Qomkufa Security which is based in Dundee.
Ngcobo is reportedly bidding for a multi-million rand security tender at Endumeni Local Municipality for Qomkufa Security and believes that his life is under threat as a result.
During a media briefing held last month, the Moerane Commission released the findings of their report which found that the tender system was the root cause for most of the political killings in the province.
Qomkufa already renders protection services to many of Endumeni municipality’s top brass on a month-to-month basis but Ngcobo was at the briefing for a long-term contract.
He told eNCA that he had also recently received death threats for the work he has been doing in the area and had to beef up his own security as a result.
The Endumeni municipality has gone through a turbulent time with regards to political killings. The area’s mayor Sboniso Mbatha was arrested earlier this year for conspiring to have the municipal speaker Bongiwe Mbatha Makhathini killed.
According to Sowetan Live‚ Mbatha, a councillor, and an alleged hitman were charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
