Rietvlei Zoo Farm manager shot and robbed

The manager of Rietvlei Zoo Farm, located in Ekurhuleni, was shot at his home on the zoo’s property on Wednesday night, reports Alberton Record.

A child in the home saw two suspects by a window and ran to the manager’s bedroom to wake him.

He went to the main door to make sure the security gate was locked when suspects began shooting at him. He was rushed to a local hospital with four gunshot wounds.

The suspects made off with various appliances and escaped.

Mondeor SAPS is investigating a case of attempted murder and house robbery.
