Two arrested in Rustenburg for dagga valued to R67k

The suspects are expected to appear in the Rustenburg Magistrates' Court on Thursday.


Two men were arrested for possession of and dealing in dagga with an estimated street value of R67 000 in Rustenburg, North West police said on Wednesday.
 
Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Amanda Funani said the pair, aged 34, were arrested on Tuesday during an crime intelligence-led operation by police in Boitekong and the Phokeng K9 Unit.
 
“The pair was arrested at Seraleng at approximately 14:00 after a follow-up was made on information that the suspects were dealing in drugs. According to information received, the police conducted a search upon arrival at the suspects’ place. During the search, plastic bags containing dagga with estimated street value of R67 000 was found inside the house,” she said.
