Hawks raid North West Premier Mahumapelo’s office
The priority crime unit is investigating a case of alleged corruption and fraud within the premier’s office.

The Hawks are reportedly conducting a search and seizure raid at the offices of North West Premier Supra Mahumapelo this morning.
According to reports, Hawks regional spokesperson Captain Tlangelani Rikhotso said the unit was investigating a case of alleged corruption and fraud within Mahumapelo’s office. Rikhotso declined to disclose any further details relating to the operation.
In January, the Hawks raided the Bloemfontein office of Free State Premier and ANC secretary-general Ace Magashule. The operation, which also included the offices of the provincial agriculture department, was in connection with the controversial Estina Dairy Project.
