WATCH: EFF protesters beat parent at Hoërskool Overvaal
Videos of EFF protesters hitting a parent at the school have surfaced on social media.

Reports state the man provoked protesters and this led to him being attacked by them.
EFF spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi took to Twitter to explain what happened.

Mofokeng Tlhoriso, chairperson of the Overvaal Transformation Committee, told the African News Agency that despite a court ruling this week, which ruled in favour of the school’s controversial decision, the protesters were still hoping to have their children placed at the Afrikaans school.
The first day of school turned bloody when a couple of protesters were hit by rubber bullets. Shortly after, ambulances arrived outside school and ferried bleeding protesters.
Police officers pointing shotguns, chased the protesters for a distance. They repeatedly fired stun grenades and rubber bullets while shouting at the protesters to move off.
A few protesters fell to the ground, bleeding. A bleeding aged woman complained that she had been shot in her back. Her arm was also bleeding. She was attended to by paramedics.
