Ramaphosa will take country to Ruperts and Oppenheimers, says Malema

The firebrand leader said he believed that ANC presidential candidate Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma would lose to Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Sharing his thoughts on the ANC succession race – EFF leader Julius Malema said he believed that Ramaphosa would take the country to ‘sophisticated capturers.’

“CR17 will take the country to the sophisticated capturers like the arrogant and white supremacist Ruperts and Oppenheimers and NDZ17 will continue hubby’s legacy of mediocre capturers like Indian supremacist Guptas. Different sides of the same coin,” he tweeted.

Malema also weighed in on the judiciary and the lack of support offered to the courts by Dlamini-Zuma and Ramaphosa.

The conference is underway at Nasrec expo centre.

It is only after the credentials report is adopted that voting can take place, which will explain why the results are expected to be announced this evening as ANC spokesperson Zizi Kodwa explained to the media this morning.

ANC deputy secretary-general Jessie Duarte  said 4776 candidates are now eligible to cast their ballots for the top six positions. In the event that current constitutional amendments proposed to the ANC constitution include the expansion of the NEC, those names will be added into the ballot.
