Watch: SABC staff take to the streets to demand salary hike

A wage increase was due in April, staff members say.


Staff members from the SABC demand a 10% wage increase that the public broadcasting station declined because management said that the demand was not affordable.

 

The wage increase was due in April, while a journalist from the SABC said the public broadcaster had money because it had incurred an irregular R5-billion expenditure.
