Ramaphosa emails on ‘affairs’ have disappeared

The promised emails detailing Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa's sex life appears to have disappeared.

The private emails regarding messages about ANC presidential hopeful’s alleged extramarital affairs have reportedly dried up.

In September, it was revealed that Sunday Independent editor Steven Motale was in possession of numerous emails from Ramaphosa. The emails originated from his private email accounts and appeared to link him to relationships with eight women.

“My team and I have over the past few months spent hours daily going through every document in an effort to satisfy ourselves that the information we were given was credible.

“A few minutes after my SMS communication with Ramaphosa, questions that were sent to one of the women romantically linked to him were leaked on social media. About an hour later, those sent to Ramaphosa’s private email accounts with my cellphone numbers followed suit,” Motale said.

“This put enormous pressure on me. My cellphone never stopped ringing. I was bombarded with calls by the media, the public and ordinary citizens who wanted me to confirm whether the questions had been sent by me.”

Kenny Kunene’s website Weekly Xposé promised to publish details of the emails but this has not yet happened.

The businessman told The Times that he is still trying to publish the emails. “We are investigating that. We are coming. We are gathering evidence,” said Kunene.

The website reportedly published two pornographic videos featuring one of the women Ramaphosa allegedly had an affair with. The woman appealed to the court to have the video removed and won the application.

The expose about Ramaphosa’s sex life was initially believed to be a smear campaign.

Ramaphosa’s lawyer, Tyrone Seale said that Ramaphosa had laid charges with the police as the emails had been unlawfully accessed.
