PICS: Nigeria unveils giant Zuma statue, names street after him
The governor of the Imo State, Mr Owelle Okorocha, further conferred on Zuma the Imo Merit Award.

President Jacob Zuma visited Nigeria’s Imo State on Saturday and the country had nothing but good things to give him.
He visited Owerri City, Imo State, to “strengthen socio-economic relations and deepen cooperation in education”.
He was honoured with his giant bronze statue which was erected in the city.

The country further honoured him with a street that was named after him.

Just when he thought he had been honoured enough, the governor of the Imo State, Mr Owelle Okorocha further conferred on Zuma the Imo Merit Award.

Of course, Twitter had a lot to say about this, with most South Africans offering their president to Nigerians as a gift.
“On behalf of South Africans we are donating Zuma to IMO state people for free, him and Rocha Okorocha – same WhatsApp group,” wrote one, while another said: “Why do they need a statue…just put him up there, you can have him for free. In fact, we support you to keep him.”
