Khoza’s resignation proof ANC cannot and will not self-correct – DA
The party says corruption has compromised the ability of the ANC to govern in the best interest of the country’s citizens.

The DA has weighed in on the decision by ANC MP Dr Makhosi Khoza to quit the ruling party on Thursday, saying her decision to leave the party was further proof, from one of its own members, that the ANC cannot self-correct.
Khoza, who was facing disciplinary action from the KwaZulu-Natal ANC for refusing to bow to instructions to not speak out against the president, said the party she joined at the age of 12 in 1982 was a far cry from the current ANC, which she said protects corruption.
“I have decided that I will no longer tap dance with the deadly, greedy hyenas and wolves. I have come to realise that decolonising, reconstructing, reconfiguring, reconciling, and growing South Africa cannot be pursued on an amoral and immoral platform,” she said addressing journalists at Liliesleaf Farm in Johannesburg.
In a statement, DA national spokesperson Refiloe Nt’sekhe said it was clear corruption had compromised the ability of the ANC to govern in the best interest of the people of South Africa.
“Our young people are struggling to find jobs and our mothers are struggling to feed their children, yet the ANC continues to protect corruption and have tried to rid the organisations of moral and just leaders,” said Nt’sekhe.
“South Africa needs a new beginning and the DA is ready and waiting to bring the change that South Africans want and deserve.”
