This is what you think of Ramaphosa’s cheating scandal

One Facebook user says people should not judge the deputy president as 'many of you are in broken marriages but failing to leave.'

Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa is embroiled in a cheating scandal which allegedly involves about eight women.

The Sunday newspapers alleged that he had admitted to having an affair with a medical practitioner eight years ago. He had reportedly confessed to his wife.

His wife, Tshepo Motsepe has broken her silence and said she would support her husband as she still loved him.

“I am very, very upset about it. We have been together a long time and are happily married,” she told the Sunday Times.

Readers took to social media to react on the scandal.

Sakhiwo Faku wrote on Facebook: “Jacob Zuma is the President of the ANC and the country, he (allegedly) raped Khwezi and has a child with Irvin Khoza’s daugher while he’s married with 10 wives. If Ramaphosa cheated on his wife why will be an issue in the ANC?

“They are trying to blackmail Ramaphosa for Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma to be a president. Zuma’s zip is always open, firstly they must talk to him to close his zip.”

Daisy Swele wrote: “CR17 is the way!! Show me a man who has been faithful to his wife since they got married? Then when u justify promiscuity you say ‘monna ke selepe….’, now when he has to be president u cry moral decay something that has become normal in our society? By the way is the women’s league comforting CR’s wife and children in all of this, just asking!!!”

Nhlanhla Hlonni Mtshali wrote: “Who are we to judge this man some of you don’t even where are your partners as we speak many of you are in broken marriage but you failing to leave.”

Tichatonga Nzekete  wrote “When the President email communications with Dubai Prime Minister were leaked nobody bothered to find out how come their President private communications were leaked. The hate for Zuma clouded every reasoning. Everyone celebrated.

“But one thing l know is that Zuma was aware who leaked the emails. He was aware that it was Ramaphosa faction because just a day after the email leaks Ramaphosa addressed a Black Business Council and vowed that all those emails should be investigated. What kind of a colleague would throw his boss under the bus due to power hungry?

“Zuma walked away haunted and wounded but he learnt a heavy lesson. Zuma is believed to have stated in the NEC meeting the he is aware of those who want him out including those who poisoned him.

“It was just a matter of time before Zuma retaliates. This is a friend of Putin, the President of the country that hacked the most secured Elections in the Whole World (the USA elections). Am not surprised to know that Zuma is sitting on piles of emails of Ramaphosa and he will be retaliating until December.

“People should know that it was actually Ramaphosa who started the smear campaign. How do you go around celebrating the fact that your Boss emails are leaked ? The African Elders said “He who laugh last , laugh longest.”
