WATCH: Car goes up in flames on Table Mountain
The cause of the fire is not yet known.

A car was engulfed by a fire next to Tafelberg Road in front of Table Mountain on Wednesday afternoon. The Table Mountain Twitter account announced that the road had been temporarily closed due to the fire.
“Please note that Tafelberg Road is temporarily CLOSED while fire crews are busy. Please keep clear until further notice.”
Operations in Table Mountain have also been suspended as a result. Firefighters were on the scene. The City of Cape Town fire and rescue said they were not sure what caused the fire.
Fortunately, there was no one in the car, and no property was under threat.
