Car falls on man after jack slips during inspection

Paramedics stabilised the man at the scene and transported him to hospital for further medical attention.


A 40-year-old man was injured after his vehicle fell on to him while he was conducting an inspection for a leak earlier this week in KwaZulu-Natal, Phoenix Sun reports.

According to the man’s family, he was under the vehicle when the jack slipped, resulting in the car falling on his chest.

At about 3.25pm, members of Reaction Unit South Africa received a call from a resident in Phoenix requesting assistance for her husband who was trapped.

Reaction officers and paramedics responded to the scene and, upon arrival, found that the man was removed from under the vehicle by his family.

Paramedics stabilised the man at the scene and thereafter transported him to hospital for further medical attention.
