Suspected rapist stoned to death

A 25-year-old man from D section in Msholozi, Mpumalanga, who is suspected to be a child rapist, was stoned to death by an angry mob on New Year’s Day, the Mpumalanga News reports.
He was apparently dragged from a local tavern by members of the community who suspected him to be the man who recently raped two children from the area, a boy and a girl, in separate incidents.
According to witnesses, he was severely beaten by the mob and even stoned with bricks.
White River police confirmed that the suspect was certified dead at the scene. Police investigations continue.
