Schumacher collection set for permanent exhibition

Seven-time F1 world champion Michael Schumacher’s private collection of motorsport items will be moved to Cologne for a permanent exhibition, it has been announced.

The items from the German’s illustrious career – including cars, trophies and memorabilia – will now be on display at Motorworld Koln-Rheinland, near Schumacher’s home town Kerpen, reports Motor1

Schumacher’s family and Motorworld have reached an agreement to make the collection available to the public free of admission.

It will be the first time that the full collection will be displayed in public.

“It is the heart’s desire of Michael’s family that all interested fans to see Michael’s collection without having to pay an admission charge,” said Schumacher’s manager Sabine Kehm.

“It will enable them to revel in memories and bring those great times back to life again.

.

“The location’s proximity to Kerpen, and the passion for motoring that it radiates, were two other excellent reasons for this collaboration.”
