Schoolboy electrocuted in Westville
The 15-year-old schoolboy sustained burns on his hands and chest.

A schoolboy was critically injured when he was electrocuted at a school in Westville this afternoon, Highway Mail reports.
“ER24 paramedics were called to the school and lead into the classroom, where they found the boy,” said ER24’s spokesperson, Russel Meiring.

He noted the boy, who is believed to be 15 years old, had serious burns to his chest and hands and was in a critical condition.
“It is believed that the learners were using a transformer-like device when he was electrocuted,” said Meiring.
The learner was treated at the school and taken to St Augustine’s Hospital.
