Metro utility City Power has dispatched its technicians to go on-site to investigate following a power outage in some parts of Johannesburg as the heavy rain continues to pour.
This is after the utility had been experiencing unplanned power interruption at Prospect and Sebenza substations earlier on Monday.
In a statement, City Power conformed that it was experiencing power outage at Fordsburg Substation due to a tripped feeder-board, which happened around 07:15pm on Monday.
“City Power Technicians have been dispatched to investigate and work on repairing the fault.
“Unfortunately we do not have an ETR at the moment but further information will be communicated in due course on our Twitter page @CityPowerJHB.
“We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this outage,” the utility said.
