Tshaisa Maletja Matsepane, 128, was all smiles as she was introduced to her visitors who brought a blanket and a six pack of soft drinks as Mandela Month presents in Limpopo, Letaba Herald reports.
According to her identity document, Matsepane was born on 3rd of April 1889.
She said she has never tasted an alcoholic drink her entire life. She enjoys porridge, wild spinach and meat. She drinks water, tea and soft drinks.
Matsepane, who cannot walk unaided, was visited at her home by the director of MBS, Masilo Mojela, and the event organisers as part of the celebrations while the rest of elderly men and women gathered at Mamaila Mphotwane Triabal Authority for the main celebrations.

Held under the theme, ‘celebrating our elders’, the ceremony was also aimed at bringing all elderly people in the area together.
Event sponsor Masilo Mojela of MBS said they celebrated Mandela Month by thanking the residents for supporting their business.
“By giving presents to the elderly people, we are continuing the legacy of my grandfather and my father who started the business years ago,” said Mojela.
He also promised to donate an electronic wheelchair to Matsepane.
