A policeman has died after a container fell on to the police vehicle he was travelling in on Rotterdam Road in Bayhead, Durban, during this morning’s raging storm, Southlands Sun reports.
Rescue Care paramedics are at the scene and have extricated another officer from the vehicle, who sustained injuries.

Another incident being dealt with, where people are trapped in their vehicles on Sarnia Road. Rescue Care paramedics are currently trying to free them from their waterlogged cars.
