Police in Hartbeespoort Dam appealing for information to locate a missing toddler.
Peter Chungwane, who is resides at Sapas Farm compound in Skeerpoort close to Hartbeespoort Dam went missing on Wednesday.
Police spokesperson Captain Sam Tselanyane said the toddler was left in the care of his nanny.
“According to information received, it is alleged that on Wednesday, 29 March, at about 7am, the toddler’s mother left him under the care of the nanny and went to work. It is further alleged that later during the said day, the nanny realised that the child is missing from other children he was playing with.
“The nanny then searched for him around the neighbourhood, but he was never found. When the mother returned home, the community was mobilised and a search was conducted around the vicinity of Skeerpoort without any success,” Tselanyane said.
Tselanyane said Peter was last seen wearing a maroon hooded tracksuit top.
“Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts can contact the Investigating Police Officer, Detective Constable Andrew Bogoshi of Brits Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit on the cellular phone number: 082 557 1904.”

Meanwhile, an Eskom employee has been found safe following a kidnapping ordeal.
The staffer was released this week, at a location south of Johannesburg, after he was kidnapped on 16 March.
The crumbling parastatal has condemned the abduction of the employee.
Spokesperson Daphne Mokwena said the employee is recovering from his ordeal.
“The employee’s car was shot at multiple times, and the employee was forcefully taken by seven assailants. He was later released at a location in the south of Johannesburg and had to be admitted to hospital as a result of injuries sustained from being assaulted by the attackers,” Mokwena said.
