A man believed to be in his 30s died after his vehicle plunged off of a bridge into the Hennops River in Erasmia, reports Pretoria Moot Rekord.

“ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene around 5.40pm to find the vehicle lying on its side in the river,” said Meiring.
“[The deceased] was found lying on the riverbank, while a second man was found walking around the scene.”
He said it was understood at the time that a passing motorist had spotted the accident scene and managed to assist the two men out of their vehicle and the river.
“Paramedics assessed the men and found that one man, believed to be in his 30s, had already succumbed to his injuries,” said Meiring.
“Nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead on the scene.”
The second man, believed to be in his late 20s, was also assessed and found to have sustained moderate injuries.
“He was treated for his injuries and transported to Kalafong Provincial Hospital for further care.”
The details surrounding the accident, including its cause, are unclear at this stage.
