Host of The Daily Show Trevor Noah has reposted an old video of his time on South African dance competition Strictly Come Dancing in the wake of the failed attempt to tarnish new congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s reputation.
The video, which was filmed during her college days in 2010 “suddenly” appeared on the internet on the eve of Ocasio-Cortez’s swearing-in as one of the youngest women ever elected to the house of representatives.
In the video, the 29-year-old can be seen dancing barefoot on a rooftop.
The video only ended up endearing Ocasio-Cortez to her rapidly growing fan base.
It even sparked a trend that saw Twitter users dubbing songs of their choice over the footage of her dancing.
She even hit back at the video with a little video of her own.
And this prompted Noah to do the same when The Daily Showed shared the highlight reel from his stint on the show back in 2008 which saw him finish the season in second place.
