In a video uploaded on to Twitter by the Iran newspaper, the country’s national paper, a message was sent to the US that they would “seek revenge” after US President Donald Trump ordered a drone strike that killed the Quds Force leader Qasem Soleimani.
Soleimani was killed at Baghdad airport on January 3.
The video contains a mock Trump tweet covered by the American flag draped on a coffin. The number of likes are replaced with the number of kills, ending with the words “severe revenge”.
The video was later taken off the Iran’s Twitter account.
The warning comes days after the body of Soleimani arrived in the city of Ahvaz as thousands gathered to mourn their leader, chanting “Death to America”.
Meanwhile, Trump has vowed to take action against Iran if they attack any American military bases in the country.
