The chief justice of The Gambia’s Supreme Court said on Tuesday that President Yahya Jammeh’s legal challenge against the result of last month’s election would not be heard until May or November.
“We can only hear this matter when we have a full bench of the Supreme Court,” Emmanuel Fagbenle said, pointing out that the extra judges needed to hear the case were not available.
