Japan is getting a Hello Kitty bullet train next month

Hello Kitty hits the rails on June 30th.

In news that will likely have Sanrio fans frothing at the mouth, Japan is set to debut its first Hello Kitty-themed bullet train next month.

According to a report on SonraNews24, the special edition train hits the rails on June 30th this year, and will ferry passengers on round trips connecting Osaka and Fukuoka.

The 500-series shinkansen comes completely decked out in Hello Kitty regalia, featuring pink bows and ribbons as its exterior decal.

Inside, passengers will have a variety of different Hello Kitty-themed carriages to explore, including the ‘Kawaii! Room’, which featured a Hello Kitty photo booth and the “Hello! Plaza” carriage, in which passengers can buy merchandise, learn about attractions of the towns they’re passing through and take selfies with a massive Hello Kitty statue.

The train will also have pink floors, pink armrests and, naturally, more pictures of Hello Kitty than you can shake a stick at.

If you want more details on the train, head over to its official site.
