N11 in KZN closed after fatal collision
A woman was found with fatal injuries in the light motor vehicle.

A woman was killed and a man sustained moderate injuries when a truck and a light motor vehicle collided with each other on the N11 between Newcastle and Ladysmith in KwaZulu-Natal at about 5am this morning, reports the Northern KwaZulu-Natal Courier.
The N11 was closed to traffic from both directions about 7km from the Dundee offramp.
Shortly after 5am, paramedics from ER24 and local emergency services arrived on the scene where they found the truck was alight. The driver of the truck was found outside of the vehicle with moderate injuries. He was assessed and treated by the local emergency services and later transported to Dundee Hospital for further care.
A woman was found with fatal injuries in the light motor vehicle. There was nothing that paramedics could do for her and she was declared dead on the scene.

The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are not yet known, said ER24’s Werner Vermaak.
