Malema, I want to lead ‘EFF Women’s League’, says Mazwai
Some EFF members have already welcomed the outspoken poet to the party, saying she would fit in well with the movement.

Following the ANC Women’s League throwing its weight behind outgoing African Union Commission chairperson Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma to succeed her ex-husband, Jacob Zuma, as president, Poet Ntsiki Mazwai has expressed her own interest in joining a political party.
Taking to Twitter recently, Mazwai tweeted EFF CIC Julius Malema and said that if the ANC pushed for Dlamini-Zuma, she would like to head up the “EFF Women’s League” (as far as we know, there isn’t such a thing – yet). Mazwai, along with other female leaders in the EFF would give the women’s league of “the failed movement a good run”, and ultimately win elections, said one of her followers.

The poet’s main problem with the ANC is their candidates, which she says are not good enough.
“They are lower grade,” she said. What South Africans need is not another Zuma, she has said, further warning the ruling party that it will lose votes to the EFF should it go ahead and push for Dlamini-Zuma.
“We do not want another f*cking zuma….that family has no values and principles……they are opportunistic and manipulative. The Zumas are a cancer to South Africa,” she said.
Malema has not yet responded to Mazwai’s proposal.

The ANC Women’s League held a national executive committee meeting this past weekend and officially endorsed Dlamini-Zuma to take over from Zuma as president.
“The ANCWL has openly pursued the call for the election of the ANC’s first female president. We have engaged and continue to engage our branches, regions and provinces, branches of the ANC, academia, youth and women in all spheres of life to support our cause,” it said in a statement.
However, the league’s call has fallen on deaf ears as even ANC alliance members such as the SACP have been vocal about not turning the ruling party into a Zuma dynasty. It further said those who were calling for Dlamini-Zuma should give reasons as to why Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa was not a suitable candidate, further slamming the call for a female president, saying it was a “mistaken debate”.
