Joburg SAPS nab burglary syndicate using stolen BMW
The SAPS are not ruling out the possibility of linking the suspects to a series of theft of motor vehicles, house break-ins and robberies in the south of Johannesburg.
Acting from a positive look-out by the community of a black BMW with three occupants, Mondeor police apprehended three suspects for house breaking, attempted housebreaking and possession of suspected stolen goods in Bassonia, on the morning of January 9, Comaro Chronicle reports.
However, later preliminary police investigation revealed that the three suspects, aged between 20 and 35, had earlier broken into a house in Brackendowns. The vehicle they were driving, a black BMW five, was positively stolen in Parkview, Johannesburg North.
As a result, a further charge of possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle was added.
