Man gunned down in driveway after withdrawing money for wife’s funeral
His wife was said to have sadly passed away last Friday.
Drift Reaction cc posted this photograph of the bullet holes in the victim’s vehicle on their Facebook page.
A 62-year-old man was reportedly gunned down in front of the gate to a house in Sunrella, Lanseria, this afternoon, 7 May, Fourways Review reports.
This is according to a Facebook post by Drift Reaction cc, a company that specialises in corporate and private security services.

The post read: “This afternoon at about 12.51pm, our CEO Jarques Treptow received a call for urgent assistance from a resident. He was hysterical and asked for help as his father 62-years old had just been gunned down in front of their gate. The Iron Fist Squad, tactical units as well as [emergency medical services] and the SAPS were dispatched.”
The post went on to say that the victim was found dead on their arrival.
It is believed the victim had been on his way back from a bank in Fourways, where he withdrew a large sum of cash to pay for his wife’s funeral. His wife was said to have sadly passed away last Friday, 4 May.
“According to eyewitnesses, he was followed by two male suspects in a Silver Toyota Corolla,” read the post.
“As he stopped at the gate they both got out and opened fire. They opened the door, took the money and sped off.
“Our prayers are with the family during this dreadful time.”
