King Shaka Airport security guard dies after being run over
It is believed the security guard was wearing his earphones while crossing the road.
The vehicle managed to come to a stop approximately 100 metres away from the point of impact.
A 25-year-old man died this morning after being hit by a car in KwaZulu-Natal, North Glen News reports.
According to Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), the man worked at King Shaka International Airport and was run over by a car on Ndwedwe Road in Cottonlands.

In a statement, RUSA said the man died on scene.
“Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were dispatched to the scene after receiving multiple calls from the public reporting the incident. Upon arrival, medics assessed the pedestrian and found that he sustained life threatening injuries which led to his death,” said Reaction Unit SA’s Prem Balram.
Balram added that although the cause of the accident was still unknown, it is believed the deceased had his earphones on while crossing the road.
“According to witnesses, he had his earphones on while crossing the road. However, the South African Police are investigating further,” Balram confirmed.
