Hammanskraal man killed in dice game

A 30-year-old man was shot dead when a man robbed a dice game at a tavern in Hammanskraal, police told Pretoria North Rekord.
Several men were shooting dice at a tavern in Mmotla Village near Temba on Saturday afternoon when an armed man stormed in.

The armed man demanded money and cellphones before opening fire, according to police spokesperson Constable Herman Moremi.
The deceased was hit in the upper body and died instantly.
Bystanders fled the scene and the suspect ran away with a small amount of money.
The deceased was identified by his family.
The suspect’s identity is said to be known to the police.
“We are on the trail of the suspect and we hope to arrest him soon,” said Moremi.
He said residents were advised not to approach the suspect as he was armed and dangerous.
