A group of three Economic Freedom Fighter (EFF) party members entered Checkers Tzaneen on Tuesday, January 23, with the intention of protesting and pushing for the arrest of the store Manager.
As the EFF members were removed by the security personnel, they said they will return with more members and come back to disrupt shopping until the manager is arrested.
Moseri informed the Herald that the store manager was at the police station at the time of the EFF protest, as she had been summoned to give a statement on the assault allegation.
Alida Fraser, manager of the Tzaneen Lifestyle Centre, was contacted in regard to the matter, but she advised that the Lifestyle Centre Management could not release a statement, as it is an internal matter within Checkers.
Moseri concluded that investigations are continuing and that the manager of Checkers will appear before court.
