Another rock-throwing incident on N2
The local resident was travelling in a southerly direction going towards King Shaka International Airport when the rock-throwing incident occurred.
The passenger window of Cilliers’ vehicle was shattered by the rock.
A Westbrook resident has recounted her ordeal to North Glen News after a rock smashed through the passenger window of her vehicle.
The incident took place on Thursday morning on the N2 just after the Tongaat toll bridge.
Aliza Cilliers said she was travelling in a southerly direction going towards King Shaka International Airport when she heard a loud noise.

“I initially thought it was a gunshot because there was just this explosion of glass everywhere. I didn’t panic and kept driving. Thankfully I wasn’t injured and I’m grateful my children weren’t in the car and they were safe. It was only after I stopped I realised they threw the rock and it shattered the window. I just wanted to warn other motorists in the area to be especially vigilant as there has been four other incidents I’m aware of,” she said.
