Jeppe SAPS on scene of CIT arrests at George Goch Hostel

Armed robbers blew up two cash-in-transit vehicles at the intersection of North Rand and Atlas roads in Boksburg shortly before 10am this morning.


Jeppe SAPS officers were on the scene of arrests made at George Goch Hostel in Johannesburg, following a cash-in-transit heist in Boksburg earlier this morning, Joburg East Express reports.

Armed robbers blew up two cash-in-transit vehicles at the intersection of North Rand and Atlas roads in Boksburg shortly before 10am this morning.

Eight people were injured in the process, two of whom are believed to have been bystanders.

According to information received, a section of the M2 was closed as police continued to search for suspects.

Heavy delays were being experienced between the Benrose and Denver off-ramps.

Officers arrested three suspects and recovered three vehicles believed to have been used in the robbery. Firearms and cash were also seized.
