The story revolves around two brothers, Ngcolosi and Phakade, who are both honourable in their right, but one of them will feel betrayed when he learns of a deep secret that could leave a stain on the legacy he hopes to leave for his four children.

The potential fallout is said to be certain to provoke controversial questions about values and legacies relevant to all South African cultures.

The show’s executive producer, Molefi Lebone, said the show is a reflection of the unique interaction between rural and urban lifestyles in the country.

Apart from Khumalo and Mtshali-Jones, the show will feature a host of new local talent.

“It [the show] features new talent from KwaZulu-Natal that we know will make an impact on our television screens,” Lebone said.

“The move to have these fresh faces share the screen with iconic industry veterans is the future of South Africa’s acting talent pool.”

Mpumelelo Bhulose, who played Gqabashe on SABC1’s Uzalo will play the role of Ngcolosi while Sandile Dlamini will feature as Phakade.

Other cast members include Raphael Griffiths, Fundiswa Zwane, Nqobile Ndlovu, Vuyokazi Tshona and Nokubonga Khuzwayo.
