Four men were wanted after a house robbery on Sunday.
“It is alleged the complainant was robbed of a substantial amount of cash and six cellphones at the house which he rents. The owner of the house is the local headman,” the report further stated.
The community chased the suspects and caught them in Mine-view Village. The angry mob assaulted them, and two had to be hospitalised.
“It is alleged one community member was shot and injured in the stomach by the cornered suspects,” said Sergeant Moyana.
The police was notified and reacted swiftly, arresting all four suspects. During the arrest, two firearms and a motor vehicle that was reported stolen in Pretoria were recovered.
