WATCH: Malema lectures African leaders at PAP

Malema took African leaders to task over a wide range of issues today at the Pan African Parliament.

Julius Malema spoke at the Pan African Parliament (PAP) today and took the opportunity to take African leaders to task over a range of issues, including attendance of the opening of the US embassy in Jerusalem by various African countries and the lack of female representation in the parliament.

Malema is one of five South Africans chosen to represent the South African parliament at PAP. Two other newly-appointed SA representatives, Thandi Modise and Thoko Didiza, were also lauded on social media for “shaking things up” with their speeches today.

Watch the video and see why it’s likely that the Pan African Parliament will be in for the same kind of drama that Malema became famous for in our local parliament.

Editors note: The original version of this story had a headline that said Malema “shouted” at PAP African leaders. This is admittedly a matter of interpretation and the headline was corrected at 4.50pm after we received a complaint.
