Traffic as the tow truck drivers protest
A tow truck strike has brought the N2 going north to a complete standstill this morning.
The go-slow on the highway began shortly before 8am near the old Durban airport.
It is believed the tow truck drivers are making their way towards La Lucia, Northglen News reported.
The protest is related to the march meant to take place on Armstrong Avenue later today.
It is understood the protest was related to the insurance industry.
Durban North police confirmed the drivers were granted permission to stage a march between 8am and midday‚ starting from the La Lucia Mall towards Umhlanga Rocks Drive.
The uMhlanga ward councillor, Heinz de Boer, said he expected the drivers to make their way towards La Lucia.
