Mortuary van collides with taxi

Patients were treated on the scene and transported to nearby hospitals.

Several people were injured when a taxi and a mortuary van collided just past the Inchanga train station in KwaZulu-Natal.

ER24 spokesperson Ineke van Huyssteen said when ER24 paramedics arrived on scene, some of the patients were already being assessed and treated on Saturday, Highway Mail reported.

“Paramedics assessed three patients from the taxi and transported them to nearby hospitals. One of the patients sustained moderate injuries and the other two sustained minor injuries.

“Various other medical services that were on scene transported the rest of the patients to nearby hospitals,” said Van Huyssteen.
