Mboro wants apology from Bushiri for ‘Mboro went to heaven’ story

The controversial pastor claims that the stories started in Bushiri's camp.

Controversial pastor Paseka “Mboro” Motsoeneng visited the Enlightened Christian Gathering church at the showgrounds in Pretoria on Tuesday to confront prophet Shepherd Bushiri about a claim that Mboro went to heaven and saw Jesus, alleging that the story was created in Bushiri’s camp.

According to Mboro, a member of Bushiri’s PR team claimed that Mboro went to heaven and saw Jesus “having sex with a Xhosa woman”, and the story was run by a Malawian publication, which also alleged that the claims came from Bushiri’s camp.

Mboro, however, said he was not fighting with Bushiri, but only wanted him to apologise publicly to put the matter to rest. He claimed Bushiri had admitted to the story having being fabricated in his camp, apologised, and fired the person involved. The only problem, according to Mboro, was that the world was not aware that Bushiri had apologised to him last year.

He said: “I came to see my brother and friend over a campaign against me that I went to heaven, saw Jesus having sex with a Xhosa woman, and that I sold the pictures for the heaven issue. Last year, Major One made peace with me and apologised and investigations lead to one of his sons’ Facebook, a case was opened. A Malawian publication revealed that Bushiri’s sons did this.

“I don’t know him as a man fighting me. He must speak against me publicly, then I will go away. Until Major One speaks – condemns me, I will still take him as a brother and a friend in spite of whatever he said because I don’t know him as a man fighting me. He must speak against me publicly, then I will go away.

“Until Major 1 speaks – condemns me, I will still take him as a brother and a friend in spite of whatever he said because I’m just a brother asking to make peace publicly to clear my name. We can speak live and put this matter to rest because every time they speak of false prophets they put my name with heaven and heaven was started from prophet Bushiri’s camp and he apologised.

“You people don’t know that he apologised and that’s the problem. We want to come back again and go on there, then he goes on with his life and I go on with mine. We are not at war, I’m not protesting.”

Bushiri’s spokesperson Maynard Manyowa told The Citizen that though he had just been made aware of Mboro’s visit at the church, the prophet would not comment on Mboro’s allegations as they had “no idea” what he was talking about.
