Man to appear in Mpumalanga court for murder of wife and mother-in-law
The suspect has been on the run until his arrest on Tuesday, and is facing two counts of murder.
A 44-year-old man is expected to appear in Kabokweni Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday for allegedly murdering his wife and mother-in-law, Mpumalanga police said.
Spokesperson Colonel Mtsholi Bhembe said the man was arrested in Nelspruit following a tip-off.
“On Sunday, the office reported that the suspect had allegedly shot and killed his 39 year old wife and her 54-year-old mother at the wife’s parental home at Kabokweni, on March 29, and went into hiding. The alleged murder firearm was handed over to the police by a relative.”
