An inquest has been after two bodies were found at a Nkampini homestead in Gcilima, KwaZulu-Natal.
The bodies belonged to a couple from the area who were allegedly discovered by the boyfriend’s mother on Youth Day, Friday, June 16, South Coast Herald reported.
It is believed the boyfriend, 26, strangled his girlfriend, 26, to death before hanging himself with a rope inside his room.
Margate police spokesperson Captain Gerald Mfeka confirmed the incident.
He said the woman was found dead, lying across the bed, while the man, believed to be her boyfriend, was found hanging from a rope.
An inquest document has been opened with Margate police.
