Man robbed of R11k at Post Office
Some of the suspects were apprehended soon after the robbery.
Police arrested two men in Tshelimnyama, Mariannhill.
A man was robbed of R11 000 cash outside Ashley Post Office in KwaZulu-Natal, Highway Mail reports.
According to Ashley Residents Neighbourhood Watch controller, Joe Ribeiro, the man was allegedly followed from a bank in Pinetown.
“When he arrived at the post office, he was approached by four armed men who demanded his money. Two of them fled in a Polo and the other two in a taxi,” said Ribeiro.

The two men who fled in the Polo were chased by police into Tshelimnyama, Mariannhill where they were arrested.
Ribeiro said the two other men fled with the money and police are still searching for them.
Pinetown police communications officer, Captain Bongumusa Manqele confirmed the incident and said the two men that were arrested will appear in the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court tomorrow (Friday, 1 September).
