Man hijacked by three armed suspects in KZN

The man was approached by three unknown men who demanded the keys to his vehicle.


A man was hijacked by three armed suspects on Sialkot Crescent in Merebank, KwaZulu-Natal.

According to Wentworth police spokesperson Captain Mbuso Gumede, at about 7:30am on Wednesday, a man was approached by three unknown men who demanded the keys to his vehicle, the Rising Sun Chatsworth reported.

“The complainant had just arrived outside his house to drop off his child when the suspects hijacked him and fled the scene,” said Gumede.

The vehicle was recovered in V Section, Umlazi by the tracking company and assistance from the police.

Gumede added: “No injuries were reported at the scene. The complainant was pleased with the quick response from Tracker and police. We are urging the community to be more vigilant and observant, when driving in or out of your premises.”
