Strong south-easterly winds of 45km/h fueled the relentless blaze last night, with reports indicating that up to 80 firefighters, including aerial support, were on the scene.
The fire is contained for now, and the cause for the destructive fire has not yet been isolated.
According to EWN, firefighters are reportedly extinguishing one active fire line burning in the direction of Kloof Road, and are using helicopters to douse the flames.
Residents are urged to be on high alert.
