Limpopo man shot dead in front of his girlfriend

The deceased was with a woman when the suspects, who spoke Shona, approached and shot him dead.


Police have launched a manhunt after a 43-year-old owner of a security company was gunned down by two unknown suspects in Musina, Limpopo.

According to information, the deceased, Jimmy Chuene, was with a woman when the suspects, who spoke Shona, approached and shot him dead. The woman, however, was not injured, the Review Online reported.

The incident occurred in Musina Extension 12 and the victim’s pistol, cellphone and a friend’s cellphone were taken from the scene.

Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo said Chuene was standing in front of his vehicle at the time of the attack.

“His girlfriend ran to the car after the incident but was not hurt,” said Mojapelo.

Mojapelo has urged anyone with information to contact the nearest police station.
