‘Like a shooting star,’ empowered kids at French circus workshop aim high

Children from disadvantaged areas on the outskirts of France's southwest city of Toulouse enter the circus ring 'with stars in their eyes'.


They are participating in a six-month circus discovery workshop offered by the Aïtal company to children from the city’s poorest neighbourhoods.

“We are capable of doing extraordinary things,” says Jordan, one of the participants.
