A suspected house burglar was arrested on Tuesday afternoon in his plot in Laezonia and goods he had allegedly stolen were found in his possession, outside Pretoria, the Centurion Rekord reports.
Police spokesperson Constable Tumisang Moloto said: “Police followed up information about a man allegedly suspected to be involved in a housebreaking committed on Saturday in Koedoe Street,” he said.
Moloto said the information led police to the suspect’s residence in Scheeper Street where they made an arrest.

“Upon arrival around 14:30, police found the suspect in possession of one plasma-screen TV, camera, jewellery and a .38 revolver firearm.”
Moloto said the man was expected to appear in the Atteridgeville Magistrate’s Court soon.
“A case of possession of suspected stolen property and unlicensed firearm is opened at Erasmia for further police investigation.”
